Tommy Hilfiger Returns to New York Fashion Week With ‘A New York Moment’ Show Slated for Feb. 9

Bye-bye “see now, buy now.”

Tommy Hilfiger said Friday it will return to New York Fashion Week with a fall 2024 collection — titled “A New York Moment” — on Feb. 9. The show is slated for 8 p.m. at an undisclosed Manhattan location that will be revealed closer to the show date.

Hilfiger will present his fall ’24 women’s and men’s collection during an evening that will be wrapped in a New York City-inspired red, white and blue spirit. The show is expected to represent “a modern-day expression of classic American cool through the eyes of the ultimate American dreamer,” according to the company.

“New York City taught me to dream big,” said Tommy Hilfiger. “As a young designer it was the birthplace of my vision. The pulse of the city, its culture of confidence and openness, has fueled the brand since the very beginning. I’m excited to translate this feeling onto the runway with a signature Tommy twist that’s become our calling card through the decades.”

As reported, the CFDA came out with its preliminary official New York Fashion Week schedule on Wednesday. Show week runs Feb. 9 through Feb. 14. Hilfiger’s show is slated for 8 p.m. on Feb. 9, between Kim Shui at 7 p.m. and Bach Mai at 9 p.m.

A return to home turf in more ways than one, the show will re-explore the brand’s original preppy roots, as well as redefining the fashion week experience.

Over the years “TommyNow” fashion shows, with elaborate themes and sets, took place in New York City, Los Angeles, London, Milan, Shanghai and Paris, with looks that were available immediately across dozens of countries online at tommy.com, in Tommy Hilfiger stores, and at select wholesale partners and on social media.

This February show will feature the fall 2024 collection and will shift the focus toward the brand’s cultural partnerships and seasonal campaigns.

“Tommy Hilfiger is one of the great American dreamers,” said Steven Kolb, chief executive officer of the CFDA. “His unique vision and enduring impact on the fashion industry have paved the way for many. It’s a fitting celebration of American design, and I’m honored to witness the continued contributions of such an influential figure in our industry.”

As reported, more than 70 confirmed designers will participate in New York Fashion Week, with additional collections being presented digitally and by appointment. Among those designers participating in February are Michael Kors, Carolina Herrera, Khaite, Gabriela Hearst, Tory Burch, Proenza Schouler, Brandon Maxwell, Jason Wu, 3.1 Phillip Lim, Sergio Hudson, Altuzarra, and Thom Browne.
