Timothée Chalamet continued his streak of whimsical style statements during the “Wonka” press tour’s latest stop in Canada.
During a fan screening for the fantasy film — which arrives in theaters on Dec. 15 — Chalamet stepped out to Cineplex Cinemas Yorkdale in Toronto, Ontario in a sleek pair of black boots. The Oscar-nominated actor’s Tom Ford style featured smooth leather uppers with rounded squared toes, as well as thin vertical front seams.
Short Cuban heels added a sharp finish to Chalamet’s footwear, completing the set with a subtle height boost. Boots similar to the actor’s have risen in popularity from their modern silhouettes, which are rooted in classic menswear styles with a slick edge from angular heeled bases. New collections have featured a variety of Chelsea, chukka and zip-up boots in an array of leathers and suedes, hailing from brands including Bottega Veneta, Golden Goose and Saint Laurent.
Chalamet’s boots added a clean base to his ensemble for the occasion: a double-breasted suit that featured a pink, blue and green houndstooth-printed base, which blended into a deep black tone across the set’s matching blazer and trousers.
The tones smoothly complemented the actor’s colorful accessories, as well: a blue and pink friendship bracelet with “C-nty” spelled in letter beads, as well as a glistening Cartier necklace. The necklace, in fact, was a custom piece crafted from 964 pink, blue and green emeralds, opals, rubellites and tourmalines; though it’s specifically fit to Chalamet’s neck, the design is part of the Cartier Collection — the house’s jewelry archive that’s shown around the world — according to Vogue.
Chalamet’s ombré moment marked his latest bold ensemble worn during the “Wonka” press tour. At previous stops that varied from London to Tokyo, the “Call Me By Your Name” star slipped on an array of printed, colorful and textures suits and outfits hailing from brands including Ford, Alexander McQueen and Prada. All were complemented by sharp leather boots, allowing their various details and features to take center stage for the celebratory occasion.
