Rihanna embraced the sheer shoe trend and logomania over the weekend while stepping into a pair of Gucci‘s mesh GG Slingback ballet flats in Los Angeles. The Italian-made designer shoes are inspired by the brand’s ’90s and early-’00s archive and feature their emblematic interlocking GG logo in crystals with a squared-off pointed-toe.

Rihanna has been a fan of flats lately. At the Mumbai Airport on March 1, after her debut Indian performance at a billionaire’s wedding, she wore another pair of bold ballet flats: black leather Mary Jane-style ones from Alaïa.

Rihanna’s Shoe Style

For Rihanna, no shoe is too bold or heel too high. The “Work” singer and beauty mogul’s shoe style is as chameleonic and daring as her fashion sense, ranging from sky-high heels to chunky Puma sneakers. Rihanna’s red carpet styles often include strappy sandals, platforms and pointed-toe pumps by Muaddi, Prada and Tom Ford that coordinate with her outfits. Her off-duty styles also include similarly daring sandals and boots by Celine, Givenchy and Saint Laurent.

In addition to her wildly popular Fenty makeup and lingerie lines, she’s also had a long-running collaboration with Puma, which was recently revamped with pumped-up styles like the chunky Creeper Phatty.
