This isn’t the first time Prince Harry has been seen showcasing a pair of dress loafers for his daily events. This past August, the Duke was seen at Tokyo’s Haneda airport wearing a tan pair of the Vince Pacific Corduroy Suede Sneakers that featured a slip-on design, a soft-yet-durable leather construction, a notched vamp with elastic goring on the sides that allowed for easy access and layering, along with understated stitching and a relaxed flat heel as the finisher. As for Meghan, the royal donned a pair of strappy stiletto sandals. The Duchess has become known over the past decade for her pump and stilettos preferences. In April, she slipped into a pair of Purist 105 heels from Aquazzura, which featured a 4.13-inch heel, smooth nude leather uppers, a sharp pointed toe and a glossy high-shine finish.

About the Shoes

For their visit to Lightway Academy, Prince Harry chose a pair of beige dress loafers that were crafted in suede material. Also featuring a rubber sole durably-made for ample grip and traction, the loafers were crafted in a round moc-toe and finished with a leather lining.

While Meghan’s shoes couldn’t be seen entirety, the Duchess opted for a simplistic pair of metallic strappy sandals. Based on her affinity for heels with towering height, it’s likely that the back of the shoes were adorned with a strappy stiletto heel measuring around 4-inches.

About Loafers

Loafers first began gaining popularity at different London universities circa the 1950s as a rebellion against knee-high and ankle-high boots. Loafers are typically made with leather or suede material, and are regarded for their comfort, versatility and ability to last for decades. The modern loafer shoe looks slightly different to the original model that gained popularity in the 50s, as the present version offers a more refined look. Many brands including Gucci, Versace and Burberry offer different variations of loafers.
