Olivia Palermo made a sharp statement in Italy for Giorgio Armano’s latest fashion show.
The influencer hit the red carpet with husband Johanes Huebl in Venice on Saturday, taking in Armani‘s latest iteration of his traveling “One Night Only” Armani Privé runway show — held during the same period as the Venice Film Festival. For the occasion, Palermo slipped on a pair of smooth black velvet boots with an allover dark floral pattern, bringing them a romantic flair.
Palermo’s footwear, which featured stretchy tall shafts for fuller coverage, was streamlined through its sharp pointed toes and wedged heels — where the pair’s heels and soles smoothly combined to create a thick, triangular base. The pair also added a modern finish to her outfit for the occasion, creating a dynamic contrast with its mixed prints: a silky black gown with a deep neckline and high slit, complete with a voluminous bubble-style hemline.
The piece was finished with a faintly metallic sheen, overlaid with an interlocking allover silk plaid pattern in hues of blue, white, deep pink and yellow for a dash of color. Palermo opted to complement it with shimmering gold eyeshadow and small diamond-embellished gold stud earrings, allowing her dress’ rich hues and textures to take center stage.
Meanwhile, Huebl made a contemporary counterpart to Palermo in a white blazer with gray trim, set atop a matching shirt and white linen pants — simultaneously complementing her dress’ white accents at the same time. His outfit was finished with gray suede slip-on loafers, which were given a relaxed attitude through their stitched toes and smooth white rubber soles.
Giorgio Armani’s “One Night Only” Armani Privé fashion show was held in conjunction with the Venice Film Festival, featuring an afterparty with music by Mark Ronson. Guests in the star-studded front row included Kerry Washington, Jessica Chastain, Kelsea Ballerini and Cami Mendes.
The Venice Film Festival will feature international movies and cinematic shorts debuting for the new season. The 80th annual event is also taking place during the SAG-AFTRA strike, which has current interim agreements to allow U.S. actors to appear at the occasion. Aside from numerous premieres — including “Maestro,” “Priscilla” and “Ferrari” — the week will conclude with its starry amFar Gala, featuring performances by Leona Lewis and Rita Ora.
