Emily Ratajkowski Laces Up Chunky Black Athletic Sneakers in New York

Emily Ratajkowski was photographed taking a stroll out in New York on Friday.

For her walk through the city, the model slipped into a pair of chunky black sneakers. The footwear was constructed of mixed textile, likely mesh and leather, uppers accompanied by sleek coordinating black lace-up closures with black detailing on the heels and an appealing chunky and athletic silhouette.

Additionally, Ratajkowski’s footwear featured thick rubber platform-esque soles, offering the runway regular a little lift, fitted with reliable non-slip tread. The “Gone Girl” star’s lace-up style perfectly married both form and function, merging the best of both worlds.

The sneaker style is a popular choice for many celebrities, Ratajkowski included. Chunky athletic sneakers are so popular in fact they have been seen on many top stars as of late including Lauren Sanchez, Janet Jackson, Becky G, and Victoria Beckham, among others. Ratajkowski is a certified footwear enthusiast so it’s no wonder she pulls off some of the coolest styles imaginable.

Cozy and cool, Ratajkowski was outfitted in a plaid and houndstooth coat from Prada cast in shades of brown, black and red. The coat was belted and lengthy and featured a white fuzzy fur trim in white on the front. The thespian wore sleek black trousers on the bottom. Accessorizing her look, the “iCarly” star wore thin silver framed glasses accompanied by a pair of dazzling mid-sized gold hoops.

Ratajkowski’s off-duty style often includes white sneakers from brands like Vans, Nike and Koio. When it comes to shoes, the “I Feel Pretty” actress often wears strappy sandals, mules or pointed-toe pumps from affordable brands like Aldo and Femme, plus boots from Proenza Schouler, Celine and Stuart Weitzman.
