Blackpink’s Jennie Kim arrived on the Met Gala red carpet in custom Alaïa from head-to-toe on Monday at Metropolitan Museum in New York City.
The formal pump style shoe is in-line with what the singer typically prefers for high profile events. This past November, Kim graced the red carpet of W Korea‘s 18th breast cancer awareness campaign ‘Love Your W’ event at Four Seasons Hotel Seoul wearing a pair of suede platform pumps that featured a slim black ankle strap and a chunky heel that estimated 3.5-inches. In 2022, the musician wore a cream-toned pair of mules from Jacquemus. The shoes featured rounded soles with wide twisted padded cotton straps rounded out by a stiletto heel that totaled 3.34 inches in height.

Kim wore a pair of custom Alaïa pumps for the Met Gala extravaganza. The shoes were crafted with patent leather material, and boosted by a thin blue buckled ankle strap for extra stability. A stiletto heel measuring approximately 3.5-inches completed the silhouette, which was punctuated by its vivid dark blue color and pointed-toe design.
The Alaïa 90 is a similar pump model from the brand, which is also made with patent leather material and has buckled Mary Jane straps that extend into the ankle. A pointed-toe design accompanies this shoe as well, which is finished with a 3.5-inch stiletto heel and a sculptural elongated shape.
