Ayo Edibiri took a sharp approach to dressing for the 2024 Golden Globe Awards — complete with the color of the moment.
During the occasion — where she won her first Golden Globe award for Actress in a Musical or Comedy TV Series for “The Bear” — Edibiri stepped out in a pair of red satin Prada pumps. The actress’ set featured a sharply pointed silhouette, complete with thin stiletto heels.
Edibiri’s Prada heels added a monochrome finish to her outfit, which also hailed from Prada: a custom red ankle-length dress, featuring a strapless silhouette with a silky overlay and cleanly draped train. The star’s ensemble was elevated by stylist Danielle Goldberg with dangling diamond rings from Boucheron for a modern dash of sparkle.
Edibiri’s color of choice for the Golden Globes was particularly on-trend, as the hue has become one to watch from late 2023 into 2024 — thanks to new collections from labels including Gucci, Sandy Liang and Bottega Veneta. The bright color was also popular on the Globes’ red carpet as well, worn by various stars including Selena Gomez, Julianne Moore, Danielle Brooks and Rachel Brosnahan.
The Golden Globe Awards celebrate the top performances across film and television. This year’s ceremony is hosted by comedian Jo Koy and features a star-studded afterparty presented by Billboard and Rémy Martin. Viewers can watch the Golden Globes live on CBS and stream on Paramount+. Ahead of the ceremony, WWD will host its first real-time red carpet digital show, hosted by Jeannie Mai highlighting the looks from the red carpet arrivals. On Monday, WWD will reveal the winners of its Style Awards during the red carpet recap on wwd.com/golden-globes at 10 a.m. ET.
