With Pride Month coming up in June, adidas has released its newest collection designed to uplift and educate people about the LGBTQIA+ community.

In collaboration with queer Australian artist Kris Andrew Small, adidas is dropping colorful updates to seven of its most popular silhouettes: the Adilette slides and the Forum Triple Platform Low, Superstar, Stan Smith, Campus 80, Gamemode Knit and Gamemode Knit Firm Ground sneakers. Each piece is detailed with artwork inspired by the Stonewall Activists of the 1969 Stonewall Uprising. For example, the Superstar features the words “Be Together” wrapped around the shoe from front to back. Additionally, the Stan Smiths focus on “love, diversity and joy” and showcase bright graphics all the way around the shoe.

“From a creative point, I wanted the collection to be a big celebration of movement, color and joy,” Small said in a press release. “I also wanted it to be a bit of reworking of the traditional rainbow/pride visual language we are so used to seeing.”

Small worked closely on the collection with adidas’ ongoing partners Athlete Ally and Stonewall UK, who fight to end homophobia and transphobia in the sporting world and help LGBTQIA+ people in their individual communities.

“Our goal for the collection was to bring visibility to the many voices of the LGBTQIA+ community, honoring those who continue to push society forward,” adidas added in a press release. “We’re excited to continue our partnerships with two very important and impactful organizations that both work tirelessly to create impactful change.”

Keeping in line with adidas’ commitment to sustainability, the shoes are also made using recycled material crafted from production and post-consumer household waste.

Fresh takes on the Adilette slides and Forum Triple Platform Low, Superstar, Stan Smith and Gamemode Knit sneakers are currently available to shop, while the reworked Campus 80 and Gamemode Knit Firm Ground styles will debut later this month. The drop also includes lots of clothing and accessories like hats and socks, so you can truly dress to impress from head to toe.

adidas has been working with artists to bring awareness to LGBTQIA+ causes for years, choosing a variety of silhouettes to remake with joyful art. Last year, the label’s Pride collection was titled “Love Unites” and featured beautiful versions of the Nizza shoe, the Adilette slides and so much more.
