Philadelphia’s UBIQ is back with their latest adidas Consortium collaboration, this time reworking the upcoming Crazy BYW 2.0. This release takes inspiration from the brand’s Sister Cities in Korea, a theme echoed through the color and graphics on the shoe.

adidas’ globe-trotting Consortium division has been all over the map this year, regularly releasing exciting projects from both new and fan-favorite collaborators. This week, the latest in these elevated releases was announced by Philadelphia’s UBIQ. Using the new and yet-to-be-released Crazy BYW 2.0, the new collaboration takes inspiration from UBIQ’s two locations, Philadelphia & Georgetown, and their Korean Sister Cities, Incheon and Seoul. The color scheme for the project takes inspiration from the traditional Korean Obangsaek color scheme, giving the shoes somewhat of a yin & yang theme thanks to mismatched blue and red accents on the right and left pairs. The main body of the new BYW 2.0 comes mostly in white, reinforced by reflective 3M taping along the mudguard and midfoot. Neon green accents are added to the outsole and Three Stripes, presenting a flash of eye-catching color. Finally, the looks is completed by Korean typography stretching up the tongue to decorate the inner Neoprene bootie lining.
