Saucony has cooked up an exciting new collection of sneakers for us this month, uniting the Shadow 6000, Jazz ’81, and GRID Azura under a common ’90s theme, complete with Y2K-era keyboards decorating each insole.

Saucony has been relatively quiet with their releases this year, having taken a step back from the “at least one-release-a-week” business model the sneaker world slipped into in the pandemic era. Now, the Massachusetts-based footwear brand is taking their time with special-edition legacy product, crafting unique stories and focusing on the shoe’s colors and materials to make each release something to behold. The latest project that follows this ethos, the “Megabyte” collection, made its debut in part earlier this week, releasing Y2K-era-inspired looks for the GRID Azura and Shadow 6000, with the Jazz ’81 following suit soon. The Megabyte Shadow 6000 is the neutral pair of the collection, mixing a yellowed mesh base layer with cream white suede overlays, grey Saucony branding, and a reflective 3M heel counter to complete the look. The GRID Azura follows a similar theme with yellowed underlays, grey overlays, and a bold blue heel counter. Finally, the Jazz goes all in on color, dressing almost the entirety of the upper in royal blue, with a grey Saucont river logo standing out on either side of the shoe.
