Salehe Bembury’s impact on the world of footwear continues to grow. Last week, the designer teased another release with New Balance with a gradient colorway of the 1906R.
Salehe Bembury has been hard at work for the past few years, dominating sneaker releases with bold collaborations and his own line of special-edition Crocs. His sneakers took the world by storm with his take on the New Balance 2002R, and now, the designer is back with another release from the Boston brand, this time taking on the 1906R. Teased via his Instagram story during Paris Fashion week, the shoe features a yellow to red gradient in the mesh base stretching from toes to heels. Metallic silver overlays are added throughout, with just a hint of black to complete the look.

Featuring “Magma” and “Lava” colorways for the “Heat be Hot” 1906 pack,pairs will be available exclusively through beaspunge, though a wider NB release could be on the horizon. UPDATE 1/8/24: Salehe Bembury has announced his latest New Balance project, the “Heat be Hot” pack of the 1906, will release on January 11th, 2024. The “release”Magma” and “Lava” colorways will be available exclusively through beaspunge.com at 12pm EST.
UPDATE 12/19/23: Salehe has shared an in-hand photo at both colorways of his upcoming New Balance 1906 collaboration, which is our best look yet at the colorful styles. No release date has been shared yet, but they are likely to arrive sometime early in 2024. He shared this image with the caption ‘Heat be Hot’, which could potentially be the name of the two-piece project.
UPDATE 9/23: Salehe Bembury has teased another unreleased New Balance 1906R in an orange and blue color scheme with burgundy and purple highlights. Stay tuned for release info and additional photos.
