Parley for the Oceans and adidas are still going strong in their mission to reduce ocean plastic by transforming it into new sneakers and apparel. This week, the Parley team have unveiled their take on the 4DFWD, coming soon.

adidas’ 4D technology has evolved greatly since its original introduction in 2016. Since then, the printed midsole technology has become significantly more widely available, finding its way onto a variety of different models, primarily in the running and lifestyle categories. Most recently, the Futurecraft tech took a large step forward (literally) with the 4DFWD, a new performance running model featuring a refined version of the 4D lattice, meant to push you forward and facilitate longer runs thanks to better energy efficiency in each step. Now, Parley, the organization largely responsible for the current boom in “sustainable” sneakers, is ready to deliver their take on the fresh running shoe. This version of the 4DFWD begins with a soft off-white knit upper, which adds wave-like embroidered lines running the perimeter of the upper in a pale green tone. The Three Stripes are applied in a taped black material, while a cream white 4D lattice midsole completes the look.
