Nike Field General 82 White FQ8762-100

Last week, we got an early look at an upcoming collaboration between Union and Nike featuring the Field General 82. Now, the model is set to return in its original form, arriving in February.

In 1982, Nike debuted the Field General, a turf shoe built with quarterbacks in mind, offering a lightweight, flexible, and easy sneaker athletes to dominate the field in. The silhouette has appeared in various other forms in the decades since, but now the Swoosh is ready to bring back the original version, removing its cleat-like outsole for casual lifestyle wear. The first look at the shoe came last week, with early photos of the next Union collaboration, though that pair looks nothing like the version we’ll see in February. The classic look is more akin to the Tom Sachs General Purpose Shoe, featuring a soft nylon upper with leather overlays. The shoe is set to debut in white, with varsity red Swooshes and a black midsole.
