Nike’s Vapormax technology is still at the forefront of the Air lineup, devoting the entirety of the midsole to the suspended underfoot airbags. Now, the Swoosh is taking it a step further, combining decades of Air shoes with the Vapromax midsole to create the new Vapormax EVO, a wild design that pulls overlays, color schemes, and more from years of Air sneakers. The upper begins with a simple knit textile base, before piling on overlays from various Air Max silhouettes from over the years. Notable pieces include the Air Max 90’s leather side shank, the Air Max 96 II’s forefoot angular overlays, the Air Tuned Max’s midfoot arch, and many, many more.
