Nike’s remastered Air Huarache continues to surface in new colorways as the shoe’s 30th anniversary stretches on. This week, we have an early look at a retro release of a limited-edition “Slate” color scheme, arriving in 2022.

Nike’s thirtieth-anniversary celebration for the Air Huarache appears to be stretching into 2022, as evidenced by a number of new colorways still on the horizon. Among these upcoming releases is another retro style from the Huarache’s Limited Edition series, which cast the vintage runner in a near-full-leather construction, as well as adding some interesting new colorways to the mix. The revival of these LE versions of the Huarache kicked off last month, with the release of the “Praline” colorway from the ’90s. Now, Nike is gearing up to revive a “Slate” look from the same time period. This new look features a largely grey leather construction that takes over the forefoot and midfoot overlays, mixing with a black tongue and heel counter as well as some striking navy blue neoprene. The same midnight blue tone can be spotted on the Air Huarache tongue branding to complete the look.
