The Nike Air Huarache has been a fan-favorite running model since its introduction in the 1990s. Since then, the Swoosh has regularly drummed up new colorways, but next year, they are making some changes to create the new Air Huarache Craft.

Nike’s classic Air Huarache running shoe made a grand return in 2020, remastering the silhouette to more closely resemble its original ’90s release along with a massive offering of both new and original color schemes. While the classic version is still an all-time fan favorite, Nike is gearing up to introduce a modified version of the Huarache next spring, dubbed the Air Huarache Craft. The new version of the retro runner rebuilds nearly the entire shoe, starting with a new mesh upper and adding an expanded cage system in suede to the midfoot areas. The classic plastic heel cage has been reworked as well, to provide more support while cutting down on materials used. The original Huarache DNA is still present in the form of the neoprene inner bootie, while the midsole adds some extra tread on the outer heels for improved performance.
