Nice Kicks and Asics have united to form an exciting new partnership, merging the ideals of the Japanese running brand with Bay Area-based style. For their first project, the NK team has transformed the GEL-Lyte III into an ice cream-inspired masterpiece.

The Nice Kicks take on the classic Asics GEL-Lyte III is inspired by classic ice cream parlors, and takes its color and material inspiration directly from these age-old institutions. The “Nice Cream” GEL-Lyte III begins with a cream white perforated leather base layer, reinforce by forefoot, mid, and heel overlays in a matching cream-colored suede. The signature Asics stripes logo comes in cream leather with a light brown backing, the latter of which is matched by the inner lining and heel clip. The laces and outsole each rock a bright teal color, while cherry-shaped hangtags and sockliners complete the look.

Nice Kicks’ new colorway of the fan-favorite Asics GEL-Lyte III has been scheduled for its wider release next week, on July 30th, 2021. Featuring vibrant teal and shades of brown, this special-edition “Spumoni” release comes with the usual retail price tag of $110.
