The beloved New Balance 992 is back, and fans of the silhouette are eating up each new release faster than the Boston brand can produce them. Luckily, New Balance has been producing an unprecedented amount of colorways, creating something for everyone who wants a pair along the way. This week, we have an early look at another upcoming color scheme for the classic runner, which reworks the entire silhouette in plain black and grey tones. The shoe begins with a more grey shade for the mesh base layer, reinforced by black suede panelling for the shoe’s overlays. The same deep grey shade appears on the midsole, creating varying tones throughout the shoe.

NEW BALANCE 992 “TRIPLE BLACK” RELEASE INFORMATION

New Balance’s blacked-out version of the 992 runner released earlier this month from select boutique retailers, though an official release directly from the brand has yet to be announced. The stealthy “Triple Black” iteration will likely be available directly from NewBalance.com in the coming weeks, with a price tag of $180. UPDATE 8/11/21: New Balance’s all-black colorway of the 992 runner launched from the brand’s website earlier this week, and is still available in a small handful of sizes. The triple black look comes with the usual price tag of $175.
