New Balance’s 1500 is celebrating its thirty-fifth anniversary this year, and the Boston brand has new colorways from the Made in England series this season for the occasion, including a bright “Green Oasis” style.

The New Balance 1500 originally released in 1989, intended as a multi-sport shoe with a focus on basketball and tennis. The model also serves as a suitable distance running shoe, and was designed by the legendary Steven Smith with input from MIT researchers for peak performance. This year, the model has turned thirty-five years old, and with the “Anniversary” edition behind them, New Balance is ready to release some new Made in England pairs this Summer. This week, a “Green Oasis” style has emerged, coming soon. The pair features a black mesh base, with bright acid green suede overlays. Leather mid layers come in a faded purple shade, while grey accents and off-white midsoles complete the look.
