Reebok’s InstaPump Fury has been releasing in exciting new iterations since its 25th-anniversary last year. This week, Japan’s atmos unveiled their latest collaboration with Reebok, giving the retro-futuristic model a “Citron Animal” new spin.
Reebok’s InstaPump Fury has been an integral piece of the brand’s arsenal since it debuted in 1994. Designed by Steven Smith, who has contributed new-famous sneakers to nearly every major brand, the InstaPump was ahead of its time in terms of technology. Featuring a pumpable air bladder to adjust the shoe’s fit, the Pump technology would go on to be featured in nearly every sport across Reebok’s product lines. Today, the InstaPump has stood the test of time. Now in the word-of-mouth sneaker hall-of-fame, the wild silhouette still manages to impress with new colorways and collaborations on a regular basis. This month, Japan’s atmos it taking another swing at the retro sneaker, giving the InstaPump Fury a new “Citron Animal” theme. The fresh colorway begins with a leopard-print base layer for the upper, reinforced by a modified air bladder constructed from translucent neon yellow plastic instead of the usual opaque synthetic fabric. Red leather mudguards adorn the toes, while red Reebok branding completes the look.
