The Asics GEL-Lyte III has been on fire since the brand’s 30th anniversary celebration last year, churning out new colorways on a monthly basis. This week, the Japanese brand dropped the GLIII in a fresh “Glacier Grey” colorway, coming soon.

2020 was the thirtieth-anniversary of Asics’ GEL-Lyte III running shoe, a revolutionary design backed by decades of Japanese sports research and craftsmanship. The brand celebrated via a rehashing of the original GEL-Lyte III, adjusting the shape and fit of the modern-day version to better reflect the OG pairs from 1990. The Japanese running brand has continued this streak of hot releases for all of 2021, adding more new colorways of the GEL-Lyte to their offerings. This week, the vintage runner surfaced in a new tonal grey style, mixing some of Asics signature grey tones across an all-suede upper for an enticing new style. The look mixes a light grey base with some darker overlays, adding a cream white inner lining and outsole to add some more depth to the fresh pair.

Asics’ latest colorway of the classic GEL-Lyte III, in shades of soft grey, has not yet been announced for release in the United States, though they have popped up at some retailers like Boston’s Concepts before quickly selling out. The two-tone grey upper comes with an elevated price tag of $120 for this special pair, releasing from both Asics and select retailers.
