The Air Jordan 1 “Black Toe” is probably one of the best AJ1 colorways of all time. Coveted by fans since the original 1985 release, Jordan Brand is now making black toe variations in every color, like this “Yellow Toe” pair, expected to drop this Summer.

The Air Jordan 1 has been simply dominating the sneaker world for two solid years now. While still fresh off of the 30+ incredible releases of 2018, Jordan Brand unleashed several new colorways in just a matter of weeks throughout January and February 2019. Many of the new color schemes have been entirely original; however, keen Jordan 1 fans have also noticed that the brand is beginning to recycle the legendary “Black Toe” colorway, swapping out the standard red color for other hues, essentially creating a lineup of team-colored Air Jordan 1s. This month, another toe variation has surfaced online, this time coating the Air Jordan 1’s toe and heel paneling in a bright yellow tone. As always, the quarter panels and midsole remain in white, with the lacing system, Swoosh, and mudguard in black.

UPDATE 7/20/22: Folks, we have a release date. Over three years ago, we got our first look at the ‘Yellow Toe’ iteration of the Air Jordan 1 high, and after many rumored release dates and delays, they have finally been set to release on September 24th, 2022. This comes from Nike’s Jordan Brand Fall preview earlier this Summer, which refers to the color scheme as a ‘Taxi’ look. Pairs will be available via the Nike SNKRS app and select retailers.

UPDATE 3/15/22: News surrounding the release of the ‘Yellow Toe’ Air Jordan 1 High OG is starting to ramp up this month, with more and more new photos of the shoes surfacing across the internet. For those of you following along at home, this shoe’s journey began back in 2019 when it was leaked, and is slowly becoming an inside joke here at JustFreshKicks for the repeated rumored release dates. However, ’22 appears to truly be our year, if the amount of pairs floating around is any indication. Check out these new shots from Knowing_Kicks and stay tuned to JustFreshKicks for the official release this August .

UPDATE 12/18/21: Well, it’s been nearly a year since our last update regarding the Air Jordan 1 High OG “Yellow Toe”. In all that time, we only just got news of the impending shoe’s release this week, updating rumors to account for an August 2022 release date. As you can probably assume based on the shoe’s multi-year buildup, only to not release several times, we are somewhat skeptical, and will reserve our excitement for Nike’s official unveiling, hopefully during the Spring/Summer 22 Jordan Brand preview.

UPDATE (1/31/21): Well, it looks like the long-rumored “Yellow Toe” Air Jordan 1 may finally see a release…this year. It’s been just over a year since we last reported on this elusive pair, which at the time were rumored to have been delayed once more or canceled altogether. However, yesterday SHOF took to Twitter to share new potential release info for this highly-anticipated colorway. According to the tweet, an Air Jordan 1 High OG with the color “Pollen/Black/White” has surfaced for a drop in August 2021, over two years after we first saw them. While this obviously has yet to be confirmed by the brand, we’ll be watching this release with renewed interest, and updating you with every piece of info we can find.

UPDATE (9/1/19): According to new information from Hanzuying, one of the authorities in sneaker leaking, the Air Jordan 1 Retro High “Yellow Toe” is no longer expected to release this year. Despite the fact that rumors and images of the shoe have been readily available since March, this is certainly confusing, but not unexpected. Maybe Jordan Brand just wants everyone to get their hands on these and needs more time for production. Regardless, stay tuned to JustFreshKicks for more new regarding the Jordan 1 “Yellow Toe”.
