If it’s not clear what Jordan Brand is doing with the Satin Air Jordan 1s in recent years pay closer attention. After the original Satin Bred release, the shoe has released in some of the most legendary colorways exclusively in women’s sizes.
The Air Jordan 1 Satin program is the series that many Air Jordan collectors have waited years for, and half of them won’t even be able to wear them. This is because of Nike and Jordan Brand finally understanding that the market for excellent women’s shoes is growing rapidly, and they have all the tools necessary to be dominant in the space. For years, women have been asking for the most hyped colorways to be available in smaller sizes, largely to no avail. Sneaker brands know that usually, their customers are men, and have been totally okay playing into that demographic- until now. Jordan Brand has been leading the charge here, reworking some of their classic silhouettes into new colorways and iterations available exclusively to women. This year, that includes another colorway of the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Satin. This time around, JB is sticking with the shoe’s original color schemes, giving the fan-favorite “Black Toe” the specialty treatment sometime this Summer.

The latest in Jordan Brand’s ever-expanding lineup of Air Jordan 1 OG Satin colorways has been tentatively set to release on August 31st, 2019. The legendary “Black Toe” look will go for the usual $160 retail price and release exclusively in women’s’ sizes.
