adidas Originals contributions to the skateboarding community stretch back decades, something they are reminding us of in 2022. This week, the ’90s Adimatic skate shoe resurfaced overseas, coming soon to stateside skateshops.
The new year has yet to reach February, and already the adidas Skateboarding team is showing off some retro heat that will be making a comeback this year. Originally released in 1996, the adidas Adimatic skate shoe surfaced for sale overseas, quickly selling out. Luckily, there is still a United States release on the horizon, likely set sometime in the coming weeks. Details surrounding the retro release are currently quite limited, we are unsure if the adidas Skate team will be making any modifications or upgrades to the performance elements of the shoe, though the exterior looks to be a spot-on recreation of the original, twenty-five years later.

UPDATE 3/19/22: adidas’ vintage Adimatic skate shoe is rumored to be re-releasing this week, on March 21st, 2022. While they are likely to release via the Confirmed app, adidas has yet to confirm the beloved silhouette’s stateside release. However, Japanese fans can pick up their pairs from either adidas or atmos starting on Monday.
